Fortress Minerals Corp. (TSX VENTURE:FST) today announced the construction of the 310 kilometer winter road to the Svetloye Project is underway and the onset of mobilization to site of fuels and supplies to support the 2009 exploration program will soon commence.

Drilling continues at the Limonite Project in the Russian Far East. The Limonite Project is one of four copper-gold and copper-molybdenum projects in which Fortress acquired a 51% interest in a Joint Venture with Freeport-McMoRan Exploration Corporation ("FMEC") concluded in late September
